Defiant Lives - Canberra premiere of disability rights documentary + With Little Hope (short film)

People With Disabilities ACT is holding a Canberra premiere of Defiant Lives on 4 December, 6:30pm at Dendy Canberra. Defiant Lives is an Australian-made documentary on the disability rights movement.

Tickets cost $21.85. If you would like to attend, you can purchase a ticket on the Demand Film website.

We would love to see a large and diverse audience along, so invite your friends and colleagues and share the Facebook event page with your friends and communities.

Your support and help in spreading the word is greatly appreciated. We’d love if you could join us to celebrate International Day of People with Disability!

Before the feature documentary we will also be screening the Canberra short film With Little Hope. The writer and executive producer Louise Ellery (a Paralympian and Canberran) will give a speech to introduce the film!

Whether you’re interested in the history of disability rights specifically, in the background to an international human rights convention or in examples of impressive activism and the development of a movement for social change, Defiant Lives is sure to make fascinating viewing!
