On the evening of 4 December 2017, People With Disabilities ACT held a screening of the documentary Defiant Lives and Canberra short film With Little Hope, to celebrate International Day of People with Disability.

We believe the pairing of the Canberra premiere of this Australian disability rights documentary with a locally-made short film made for a very memorable evening.

Many thanks to the wonderful speakers Rachel Stephen-Smith MLA and Louise Ellery!

We are very grateful to all those who helped us make it happen, including Demand FilmDendy Cinemas Canberra and the ACT Government Office for Disability, and all those who purchased tickets or helped to promote it.

It was wonderful to have diverse range of attendees from across the Canberra community and the support of many organisations.

You can view photos from the evening on our Facebook page. The social photos have also been published on the OutInCanberra website.
