INTRODUCING: CANBERRA DISABILITY REVIEW – a journal of views and opinion on disability in Canberra
People With Disabilities ACT is pleased to announce the launch of a new journal, Canberra Disability Review, which will be published three times a year. It’s replacing our newsletter, but we’ll still be providing lots of news in a digestible size in regular EO updates and member bulletins.
With the NDIS on our doorstep and big decisions facing the ACT this year it’s time we had opinion forming analysis of ACT events through a critical disability rights lens. Our focus will be on original content including features, opinion editorial articles, reviews and essays from people with disabilities, policy makers and opinion leaders. We will be inviting people to submit and also considering unsolicited submissions. We’re starting small but published contributing feature writers with a disability will be paid (via gift voucher).
Our first three editions will focus on
June: The NDIS cometh
August: Finding home – housing and disability
October: Transport futures – what do we REALLY need + our election edition
The first edition of The Disability Review will have the theme of: The NDIS cometh …
